Gloucester Concordes alumni skaters Ivanie Blondin and Isabelle Weidemann qualified for Team Canada to go to the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing China. This is Ivanie's third and Isabelle's second Olympics attendance. In each of their previous Olympics, the podium eluded them, but in Beijing, the tables have turned and our Canadian speed skaters are taking the podium by storm.
Isabelle raced for Bronze in the Women's 3000m, then won Silver in the Women's 5000m and now that ever treasured Gold in the Women's Team Pursuit
Ivanie raced in the Woman Team Pursuit with Isabelle and Valerie Maltais in the Golden Trio to win her first Gold medal and setting a new Olympic record.
