● Returning skaters will receive an email advising in which group to register.
● Interclub youth will register as Interclub Youth and the sessions will be on Mondays from 7pm to 9pm this year..
● New skaters are asked to send an email to the registrar before registration as they will be asked to attend an evaluation session to determine in which group they will be placed. Assistance will be provided for registration.
● Skate fitting sessions will be scheduled prior to the commencement of the skating season.
● All parents and guardians MUST register as a parent/volunteer
The following are the group names and associated fees:

| Active Start (AS) Monday 6-7pm |
Skaters age starting at 6 y/o. Skaters must have basic skating skills before they begin (CANSKATE). Skaters must be able to get back up on their skates without any assistance. Focus is to learn the basics of speed skating. |

Fundamentals (FDM) |
Skaters have successfully met the “Active Start” skills and are working on improving in both technique and speed. |

| Train 2 Train (T2T) Tuesday 7-9pm and Wed 6:30-7:30pm |
Skaters have mastered the fundamentals of speed skating and are improving both technique and speed. |

Accomplished skaters as well as skaters who are competing at the provincial and national levels. |

| Friday Morning Sessions (FMS) Friday 6:30-8am |
Open to Train to Train, Train to Compete, and Interclub Youth (Need permission from the head coach to attend these sessions). |

Skaters ranging in age from 20- 70+ Includes skaters new to the sport of speed skating as well as skaters with years of experience. |
